Meet the Founder

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in Nanaimo B.C, I am an Islander at heart, an outdoor enthusiast, a city dweller and a traveler. I have now lived in Vancouver for 9 years and currently work full time as a Senior Graphic Designer at veritree. At veritree, businesses are connected to verified tree planting projects to restore our planet. veritree exists to create local jobs, sequester carbon, and restore ecosystems. At veritree my focus is on marketing materials and strategy from social media assets and web design, to brand identity and advertisements campaigns.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Graphic Design from Vancouver Island University and now have 10 years of experience in the industry. Since finishing my degree, my design style has evolved many times over the years. It currently is a mixture of contemporary minimalism, featuring a flat illustration style and ranges from abstract to semi realistic. I have been featured on Canadaโ€™s Science World Instagram page, Really Good Emails and at the Nanaimo Art Gallery. You can find my prints locally at the Unity Excellence Legacy Market on Granville Island.

When I am not designing, painting or taking pictures, you can find me listening to my favourite musicians, reading a good book, learning a new hip hop dance, kickboxing, or planning my next adventure.

I believe that everything we introduce to the world should have a positive impact, whether that be the energy we put out into the universe, the products we sell to our communities, or in my case the design we consume daily. Just like when we find ourselves in nature, my design mantra is to โ€œdo no harm or leave it better than how you found itโ€. Do no harm to our environment by only printing on recycled and sustainable materials. Do no harm by working for businesses, collaborating with creatives and choosing clients that uplift and empower the people who interact with our work. Do no harm by educating and shining a light on causes and issues through art and design in the hopes for a better world.
